GalaxE is looking for 20 more Java and SOA candidates. This time they need to be GC, EAD or Citizen b/c they want to roll them over after 6 to 12 months Sr. candidate (5+ years exp) and Jr. candidates (less than 5 years). Candidates can be based out of Detroit, MI or Somerset, NJ - preference is Detroit though.

There are multiple jobs on each ranging from Jr to Sr.  They consider a Jr to be @ 3-5 years and a Sr to be @ 5+ years experience.

They prefer local candidates who can get in for a F2F interview, but will consider candidates outside the area.  They might even consider a skype interview for the right situations. 

Java Developer - SOA (10 openings)

Responsibilities:

·       Coordinates with Architects and engineers to design, develop, and implement Web services solutions for legacy mainframe and AS/400 applications.

·       Ensure on-time delivery of product

·       Participates in the full software development life-cycle, including requirements analysis, service layer architecture, application design and development. 

·        Coordinates with QA on test design during architecture and development cycles.

Qualifications:

·       Minimum of 5+ years of experience (less for a Jr) with Java/ REF software development and SOA/WebServices (not specifically IBM like last time) concepts and technologies

·       Desired: Minimum of 3 years of experience (less for Jr) with COBOL application integration with web services

·       Minimum of 3 years of experience (less for Jr) with Enterprise Messaging, including ESB technologies

·       Strong: Minimum of 3 years of experience (less for Jr) with XML XSLT technologies

·       BA or BS degree

·       Minimum of 3 years of experience (less for Jr) with WAS6.0

·       Desired: Experience on WPS

·       Experience on DB2 is preferable

·       Solid understanding of SQL is required

·       Experience in Java/ J2EE Frameworks (ex: Spring, Hibernate, struts/JSF,etc.)

·       Desired:  Experience in RAD 7.0

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze various applications.
• Pursue strategic initiatives.
• Responsible for recommendation, design, and construction of re-factored services platforms.
• Gather data from various sources such as legacy applications via legacy connectors and serve them via SOA services. 

Qualifications:

• J2EE, spring, SQL, struts, hibernate.
• Strong configuration management experience.
• SOA, Web Services a strong plus
• Websphere Application Sever experience.
• Can develop for UNIX and Windows in a native language; all aspects of software development from complier, design, native development, multi-platform, UI design, integration, and database applications.
• Deep knowledge of programming theory and practices.

Deep experience in practical application of theory and writing SQL queries

Position Summary

This individual, as a job contributor, works under general direction and is responsible for engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with one or more technical areas, within the technical function (such as, but not limited to, web application development.  Experienced and proficient in programming languages such as C# & SQL and SharePoint development and deployment environment. 

Essential Work Elements

·           Implementing high quality, scalable and extendable SharePoint solutions

·           Awareness of migration and implementation plans that address both tactical and strategic needs.

·           Design and implement development workflow and SharePoint features.

·           Coding, testing and implementing solutions in a SharePoint environment.

·           Taking directions from management in implementing solutions.

·           Unit testing for all assigned deliverables.

·           Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services/MOSS 2007 solutions, including:

·           2+ years experience in SharePoint installation, configuration and maintenance for large clients with large farms.

·           Extensive knowledge of MOSS 2007, including workflow and content management;

·           Strong proficiency in Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0;

·           Extensive experience with Microsoft Office System and its integration with SharePoint;

·           Ability to write detailed documentation (configuration instructions, and models)

·           At least 3 years of in-depth experience with Windows Server technologies including Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0

·           At least 3+ years of technical consul ting experience or as a programmer, with a minimum of 3 years experience in .Net 3.x, SQL 2005/2008.

·           Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies

·           Possess strong MS platform knowledge and skills.

·           Full lifecycle experience in architecting large scale scalable applications.

·           Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships.

·           Good communication skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) to all levels of the business.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

·           Position requires 4-5  years of overall experience, a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline from an accredited college or university and two years experience in related field.

·           Two years of experience can be substituted for one year of education.
