Position Summary

This individual, as a job contributor, works under general direction and is responsible for engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities associated with one or more technical areas, within the technical function (such as, but not limited to, web application development.  Experienced and proficient in programming languages such as C# & SQL and SharePoint development and deployment environment. 

Essential Work Elements

·           Implementing high quality, scalable and extendable SharePoint solutions

·           Awareness of migration and implementation plans that address both tactical and strategic needs.

·           Design and implement development workflow and SharePoint features.

·           Coding, testing and implementing solutions in a SharePoint environment.

·           Taking directions from management in implementing solutions.

·           Unit testing for all assigned deliverables.

·           Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services/MOSS 2007 solutions, including:

·           2+ years experience in SharePoint installation, configuration and maintenance for large clients with large farms.

·           Extensive knowledge of MOSS 2007, including workflow and content management;

·           Strong proficiency in Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0;

·           Extensive experience with Microsoft Office System and its integration with SharePoint;

·           Ability to write detailed documentation (configuration instructions, and models)

·           At least 3 years of in-depth experience with Windows Server technologies including Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0

·           At least 3+ years of technical consul ting experience or as a programmer, with a minimum of 3 years experience in .Net 3.x, SQL 2005/2008.

·           Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT strategies

·           Possess strong MS platform knowledge and skills.

·           Full lifecycle experience in architecting large scale scalable applications.

·           Strong customer service skills and demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships.

·           Good communication skills with the ability to communicate (verbally and written) to all levels of the business.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

·           Position requires 4-5  years of overall experience, a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline from an accredited college or university and two years experience in related field.

·           Two years of experience can be substituted for one year of education.

Skills Requirements

·           Database: SQL server 2005/2008

·           Software / Language: SharePoint (WSS 3.0 / MOSS 2007), Visual Studio, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, SQL Server, C#, and .NET 3.x

·           Middleware/WebServer: IIS 6.0

·           Operating Systems: Windows

·           Strong written and verbal communication skills
