•Experienced Senior DBA
•5+ years SQL Server DBA
•3 + years of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2008R2 / 2012 experience
+ years of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2008R2 experience
•1+ years VMWare vSphere 5.0+ or Microsoft HyperV experience
Additional skills that would be preferred:
VMWare vSphere 5.0+ or Microsoft HyperV experience
•Performance tuning, and best practices for SQL Server on virtualized hardware
•forecasting of available host resources and allocation based on project / support requirements
Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2008R2 / 2012 experience
•Admin, patching, and install of SQL Server based on design reqs.
•Expertise in config, modification, and security access topology for SQL Server
•Implementation experience with upgrading between SQL 2005 - SQL 2008 / 2008R2 / 2012 and/or SQL 2008 / 2008R2 and SQL 2012
•Expertise and direct experience in backup and restore methodologies and recoverability
•Expertise and direct experience in disaster recovery methodologies (mirroring, log-shipping, replication, multi-site high availability groups)
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2008R2 experience
•Administration, implementation of Windows high availability clustering
•Extensive experience working with Performance counters to interpret the health of a server
•Experience with disk provisioning and RAID topology
•Experience with Windows PowerShell scripting to automate administrative functions.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills focusing toward communicating with different technical skill-level groups within the organization
•Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail and documentation
•Able to work concurrently on multiple projects while maintaining department standards
•Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
•Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment within a department and an organization as a whole.
•Candidate will participate in SQL Server upgrade between SQL 2005 - SQL 2008 / 2008R2 / 2012 and/or SQL 2008 / 2008R2 and SQL 2012. Will be leading some sub-phase of the project and coordinating with application owners.
