We are looking for Cassandra Engineer / Cassandra consultant immediately. Work Location : Sunnyvale, CA Start Date : ASAP Duration : Long Term Job Description: Min 9-10 years’ experience in designing, developing, deploying software application - 9 + years of experience in large scale system development, deployment, and management
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- 2+ years of AWS Cloud Experience including deployment, cloudformation, cloudwatch, and autoscaling
- 5+ years of experience in Java coding and Rest application development
- Experience in support/troubleshooting/operations of Cassandra and other NoSQL database. Setting, Modeling and optimization of Cassandra clusters is a must.
- Experience in Data Migration of multiple terabytes from one Cassandra DC to another
- Must possess advanced SQL skills and in depth knowledge of analytical functions
- Strong Linux/Unix background and Advanced scripting knowledge e.g python, ruby etc
- Experience with metrics, monitoring and alerting tools such as Graphite, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk
- Experience with CI/CD process and technologies (e.g. Jenkins, TravisCI, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with OSGi containers is nice to have
- Must be familiar with Java 8
- Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, JUnit, Mockito,
- Must have Experience installing and managing Kafka
