Senior Back-End Java Developer for help with design, develop, unit testing and deployment of a multi-tiered fuel and retail cross-marketing system.
The candidate will be responsible for design, development, testing and deployment of distributed applications. The candidate will also help with troubleshooting production issues and adapting frameworks and industry best practices, executing unit and performance testing, and coordinating these activities among the scrum team. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the Quality Assurance and Customer Support departments on research of and remedies for software bugs and issues found during QA, beta, and production.
J2EE Platform - Programming language Java5 and Java6 – depending on project
• Back-End Developers primary responsibility will be designing/coding the back-end/business logic of the application • Candidates must know best practices development and know/follow coding standards • Candidates need to have a solid understanding of OO Design and recent experience with the following technologies: Java, JEE, Struts and/or Spring, Hibernate, JBoss, EJB, XML, JMS, and strong SQL knowledge
Required Skills & Knowledge:
• Minimum of 8+ years in Java development • Strong analytical skills including troubleshooting • Good understanding of OO design and JEE, hibernate, JBOSS, EJB, XML, JMS and Struts • Strong SQL knowledge/experience • Agile Development Methodology(Scrum) • Need to be a team player while having the capacity to work independently • Candidate must be a career-oriented individual with strong communications and organizational skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication
The following skills/knowledge are a PLUS:
CMS and Mobile Development, Secure Coding Practices, PCI Data Security Standards, OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project)
Desired Skills & Knowledge:
• Experience with Linux, Websphere, and Oracle • Education BS or higher in Computer Science or comparable discipline
