Hello, We are looking for ETL Analyst with Talend Experience. Work Location : Chicago, IL Start Date : ASAP Duration : 6- 12 months. Job Description: We are looking for an ETL analyst with expertise across different ETL platforms. Preferably someone who was involved in migration from one ETL platform to another. He/she would be responsible for the analyzing the existing ETL jobs and help establish an approach for migrating them to another target ETL platform. The ideal candidate should have around 10 year of relevant IT experience. Principal Responsibilities - Analyze the existing ETL solutions which are on Ab Initio and DataStage platforms.
- Do a detailed analysis of the ETL jobs to identify interdependency, control flow and end-to-end data flow.
- Classify the jobs according to complexity and control flow sequence.
- Identify common patterns of data flow logic in Ab Initio and DataStage jobs and map them to implementation patterns in target ETL platform.
- Identify potential gaps and risks in what can be migrated and the remediation.
- Ring best practices in ETL design and implementation.
Required Skills - Exposure to Ab Initio ETL and or DataStage ETL platforms.
- Experience in Talend ETL platform. MUST
- An understanding of how ETL platforms work under the hood.
- Experience in using tools to do detailed analysis of control flow and data flow logic.
- Ability to document and communicate key facets of ETL solutions.
- Experience in assessing non-functional requirements of ETL jobs.
- Soft skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
