Title | BI Analysts | Primary Skills | BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT,BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT,ESSBASE,HYPERION,ORACLE,SDLC | Location | Boston, MA | Duration | 6 Months | Job Description | The BI Analysts will work with the Project Manager and Senior BI Architect to gather the client’s requirements through in person interviews. The Analysts will consider the clients goals, strategy, BI ecosystem, business and IT processes. They will use this data to work with the Senior BI Architect to document their findings and formulate a Roadmap for the client for the initial design.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Successful experience working in or designing a Business Intelligence Competency Center or BI Centers of Excellence.
Working knowledge of data warehouse architectures and operations, including working knowledge of Extract Transform and Load (ETL), Data Quality, Data Cleansing, Staging, star and snowflake schemas, data mart design, management processes.
Working knowledge of at least one business intelligence system (e.g. OBIEE or Business Objects) and one major analytical software system (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R)
Working knowledge of nosql database structures (Big Data) and in-memory analytics (e.g. HANA or HPA) a plus.
Domain knowledge in data content and analytics related to investments and securities a plus, especially Financial Services.
HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PACKAGES
Knowledge of Oracle BI Enterprise Edition, Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects and/or Tableau
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS DESIRED
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Agile SDLC is a plus |
