Job Description:
Provide business systems and applications analysis in support of the development of new business applications
* Conduct process evaluation, data analysis and documentation of requirements for translation into proper system requirement specifications
* Review vendor and system documentation to create enterprise data definitions and map new data structures to the logical data model
* Map multiple business requirements to the logical model to provide a consolidate requirement that defines the overall project delivery needs
* Conducts need and gap analysis leading to the creation of source to target mappings and data definitions
* Ensure that documentation is updated when change requests are approved for the project
* Maintain a good level of expertise with appropriate system documentation tools
* Classifies potential resolution of issues as technical system, user training, or modified business process and recommends corrections
* Reviews system test plans and system tests modules before implementation and reviews end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, and training materials) for accuracy
* Works with the user to select or define appropriate test scenarios
* Operate as a liaison between technical delivery personnel and the appropriate end-user department
* Evaluates and translates end user needs and problems to technical associates
* Teach end users new technology and enhancements that will allow them to modify their analysis
* Evaluate user requirements for one or more specialized business applications to determine end-user and technical needs
* Create business process and data flow charts for customer and technical review
* Works with an assigned technical team of programmers and developers to ensure user needs are met
* Monitors and provides direction to lower level team members
* Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth level of knowledge
Previous experience working with business and technical teams, compiling business definitions for enterprise data model attributes
* 8+ years experience in a high tech environment in Technical or business Application Analysis or equivalent combination of experience and education
* Strong domain knowledge of Healthcare, preferably with 5 or more years of working experience in Healthcare Payer organizations
* Data analysis, technical specification development and enterprise data mapping
* Specification support to Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) development - mapping source table columns to target fields
* Logical data modeling
* Work independently on projects with guidance from Program Leader
* Healthcare industry experience preferred.
* Experience with modeling tools Erwin and PowerDesigner
* Experience with Teradata SQL
