Senior Unix/C++ Developer
A financial firm in Jersey City NJ, is seeking a Senior Unix/C++ Developer for a 6 month+ contract position.
This position will be taking a key role in the Strategic Order Management applications effort. The individual will contribute to existing efforts and participate on the strategic efforts as required. The environment is fast paced, with multiple projects, feeding a strong commitment to drive and maintain the company's competitive ability in the marketplace. The candidate will be frequently interacting with other internal groups as well as external organizations, driving solutions to technical and business demands of the projects and leading the team in the implementation of those solutions.
Requirements
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
" Proficiency in C++, Object Oriented Design/Methodology and Perl
" Strong UNIX background
" Working knowledge of stored procedures and usage of DB interface libraries
" Experience in programming with pub/sub middleware
" Experience in working with sockets, Roguewave, Multithreaded programming.
" Strong shell scripting will be plus
" Software development of applications integrating with vendor or home-grown FIX engine.
" Trading System Experience will be a big plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
" BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or better education
" At least 5 years of software development experience in related fields
" Knowledge of FIX protocol is a plus
" Excellent knowledge of the large scale, real time transaction processing systems
" Strong analytical and organizational skills.
" Ability to think and adapt new solutions to solve technical and business problems.
" Strong design and planning skills.
" Strong written and verbal communications skills.
" Strong interpersonal skills.
" Track record of learning and master new and diverse systems. |
