Job Description

Interview Process:
1) Technical Phone interview with the hiring manager
2) In person interview with the team onsite

Must haves:
- 1 year of .Net Experience (Java Experience is transferable). They are currently at 3.0 to 4.0 .Net Framework
- Some level of understanding for Cloud Services
- 3-4 or more years of Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Must be able to hit the ground running and understand this research and development project from deployment to delivery
- Understanding of Mechanical Turk interfacing with Cloud Services
- JavaScript
- Agile


They are currently doing a test / R&D project using Amazon's Mechanical Turk (MTurk) which is a crowd sourcing internet marketplace enabling computer programmers to co-ordinate the use of human intelligence to perform tasks that computers are currently unable to do. This is an Ecommerce platform for ARPC. For this R&D project they will be building out the framework for the Merchant Turk online tool and leveraging their web services. They will be working with 2 other .Net Developers on the team as they complete this project.

This candidate needs to know Ruby inside and out and be able to familiarize the team with this language.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of experience developing web-based applications
• At least 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
• 3+ years of experience with JavaScript
• 1+ years of experience with the Microsoft .Net framework (preferably with ASP.NET experience)
In-depth technical and administrative understanding of the following is required
• Mastery of object oriented programming core concepts
• Familiarity with a test-driven development environment
• Knowledge of design patterns
• Provide technical development, support and systems administration for the Company's IT platforms
• Perform all aspects of development life cycle including design, development, testing and documentation
• Customize applications per user request and need
• Test and retest programs with the help of internal users or clients
• Communicate project and task status to stakeholders
• Maintain proper documentation of all projects and modifications
• Provide risk assessment and impact analysis for functional changes to critical applications
• Recommend process improvements in all areas including process automation
• Provide technical support and consulting services on systems software and application development to users
• Prepare functional requirements based on project requests from business units
• Conduct source code maintenance
• Administer development and production environments. This includes websites and databases
• Provide timely functional releases so as to meet fast changing business requirements
• Train and mentor other developers as needed
