Position Description:

                    As part of an Agile Team, the candidate will create, review and execute test cases that ensure that the new Loan Delivery Next Gen application intakes Lender loans and processes them correctly in according to requirements and technical specifications.

                    Specific experience in some or all of the following: Agile, Unix, Autosys, XML, SOA and Relational databases.

                    Previous testing of applications using TIBCO/ESB Queues and No SQL database experience is a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

                    Designs, writes and implements testing scripts, test tools, SQL or NoSQL queries, and test drivers for a UNIX and/or Web-based applications.

                    Creates, reviews, validates and maintains a comprehensive regression test suite

                    Ensures that test case standards are adhered to for all test cases included in regression suite.

                    Create and Manipulate test data using XML files to validate positive and negative conditions.

                    Executes regression suite, reporting results and issues in a timely and accurate manner.

                    Maintains awareness of new software testing tools and trends within the software testing industry.

                    Reports and tracks problems by providing reproducible test cases, and working with other product team members to close problem reports.

                    Provide the test lead with accurate estimated LOE for updating the regression suite and executing test cases.

                    Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development/business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve.

                    Candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and must be able to handle multiple concurrent testing responsibilities.

                    Unix - 4 year(s)

                    Shell Script - 3 year(s)

                    The Test Engineer should have a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics

                    7-10 years of hands on software testing experience, prefer 1 – 2 years of agile testing experience.

                    Should be familiar with current software testing methodologies to include agile, risk based, boundary, black box and white box testing.

                    Must have a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, configuration management, and release cycles.

                    3 years of demonstrated experience using test and defect management tools, such as, HP Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management, IBM Rational DOORS, IBM Rational Clear Quest, JIRA.

                    Experience using Agile Collaboration Tools like Rally, Version One, or similar

                    3 or more years of demonstrated experience testing XML (use of XML Spy and SoapUI for data injection).

                    Good verbal and written communication skills, being a self-starter that requires minimal direction, and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment is critical for this role.

                    Strong analytical skills to dig into problems and attention to details is required.

                    Demonstrates knowledge of some or all of the following: Java (J2EE), C, C++, VB, XML, shell programming, Web Logic, Oracle RDBMS, and NoSQL .

 

Nice to Have Skills:

                    Data driven test and validation techniques.

                    Experience writing acceptance criteria in Gherkin.

                    Experience with Cucumber, Selenium, FitNesse, or similar Agile automation software

                    ASQ or QAI Certification

Job Description:

                    The Senior Drupal UI Engineer builds content-focused Drupal theme solutions using PHP, JavaScript and CSS on the Acquia enterprise hosted platform.

                    Qualified candidates will feel they are fluent in the Drupal API version 6.x and 7.x and are comfortable in PHP 5.x, with significant knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript and jQuery.

                    Ideal Senior Drupal UI Engineers will have experience working on small agile teams doing large enterprise software projects, from conception and planning, to development and delivery, to testing.

                    This position will interact closely with a scrum team to shape project requirements and guide projects through completion.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

                    Build, test, deploy and maintains front-end code for web pages and applications in Drupal 6.x and 7.x using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery

                    Work with MySQL databases managed on the Acquia platform

                    Give accurate estimates for completing development or administrative tasks

                    Participate in project planning and estimating

                    Works tightly with other members of the team

                    Assists project teams to design core business components utilizing industry-accepted analysis and design standards

                    Provides and/or assists with, project management and project leadership

                    Facilitates communications between project management and development team

 

Required Skills:

                    5+ years of professional experience in web development or a related field.

                    2+ years of professional experience in web development or a related field using PHP

                    2+ years of professional experience with Drupal

                    Fluent knowledge of HTML and CSS

Position Description:

                    Analyze and understand College Board systems and applications in order to diagnose and resolve problems that occur with them.

                    Interact with Business users, Technology staff and Vendor partners to support and troubleshoot College Board operations.

                    Assist in the development and maintenance of the procedures to manage and ensure successful operations of College Board systems.

                    Support development efforts related to vendor data flows and operational data quality. Work with the business process owners, vendors, and Technology staff to ensure that data requirements are well understood and documented.

                    Develop, enhance, and maintain process and issue documentation.

                    Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline business processes, and working cooperatively and jointly to provide quality member service.

                    Facilitate the restoration efforts for all high severity and high impact incidents sometimes requiring off-hours support.

                    Manage incident communications across a diverse audience up to and including senior executives. Document, maintain, and communicate information specific to incident management initiatives including: Incident Management (IM) processes, standard operating procedures, service level agreements, incident response metrics and incident review sessions.

                    Maintain open communications with business process owners keeping them aware of operational situations that may impact their respective areas.

                    Perform proactive problem management and incident trending to eliminate future incidents.

                    Develop automation scripts or tools using either commercial automation tools or programming languages.

                    Assist in the development of tools to support operational processes

 

Required Skills

                    Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations, or related technical field. (or equivalent experience)

                    3-5 years’ experience in operations support or systems design/development roles

                    Experience troubleshooting enterprise software or technical services

                    Advanced database knowledge is necessary including the ability to write SQL statements, knowledge of relational database concepts and methods of database access. Very strong computer skills with focus on databases and proficiency with mid-level expertise: C#, java, xml, Perl.

                    Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving skills, and knowledge of analytical tools.

                    Solid organizational, time and task management skills

                    Ability to work closely with highly technical database, development and infrastructure staff including high degree of comfort with IT artifacts and terminology (e.g. E-R diagrams, data dictionaries, interface specifications use cases, ETL)

                    Ability to effectively communicate complex issues in writing and orally at appropriate levels of detail for business stakeholders and technical teams.

                    Flexibility and desire to quickly adapt to new methods, situations, and various requirements

                    Ability to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously

                    Highly collaborative individual with ability to influence others and build strong professional relationships

 

Preferred Skills:

                    Very strong in database (Advanced)

                    Experience with ETL Informatica

                    Understand XML, C# or Java
