Senior SQL database engineer with experience managing hundreds of SQL database in an enterprise environment to support the DC Government. Candidate must possess a minimum of 6 years of database experience. Candidate must be able to design, build, and maintain SQL servers and clustered SQL systems. Candidate must have hands on experience with SQL 2012 and Sql 2008.
Duties and Qualifications include:
SQL 2005, 2008 Migration, installation, configuration, and maintenance
Migration databases from MS SQL 2008 to MS SQL 2012
SQL 2008 cluster design, installation, and configurations
Design, deployment, and control MS SQL 2012 at VMware environment
Experienced in SQL 2005 and 2008 backup and restore
Microsoft certified in SQL Database required
Daily operational management and troubleshooting MS SQL 2005, 2008 and 2012
Troubleshooting MS SQL performance issues using profiler and VM tools
