Job Description
1. Experience designing, developing, testing and implementing object-oriented software with a solid understanding of Java/J2EE
2. Experience in development lifecycle of at least one medium to large-scale server-side project
3. Good understanding and working knowledge with any one or more of Java Application Servers (e.g. Tomcat/TOMEE/JETTY/JBOSS/WAS), Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, Informix, MySQL), Messaging Systems (eg: WMQ, Active MQ, RabbitMQ), Testing frameworks (eg: JUnit, TestNG, Selenium), Spring Framework, ORM framework (eg: Hibernate, iBatis, TopLink), Web Services APIs (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON)
4. Ability to understand issues of possible failures and recoveries, multi-node deployments (Active-Active / Active-Passive), zero down-time development, scaling, throughput and latency
5. Document and demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code reviews/comments and testing overviews

6. Exposure/Experience in UI development and frameworks – HTML, CSS, React js and Angular, jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular ; Dependency Management – NPM, Package Management-Node js, Scripting languages - Shell, Groovy, Ruby, Python; build and continuous integration tools (e.g. IntelliJ, Gradle, Jenkins), Agile software development and tools – JIRA, Code Collaborator and Cloud based development/deployment (i.e. Azure/AWS Development)
7. Familiar/Knowledgeable with security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, web service proxies and firewalls
