DataStage/Teradata Developer
Skills:
Strong background in DataStage development utilizing Teradata and Oracle SQL, Teradata concepts and architecture, Teradata query optimization experience, and data warehousing.
The contractor will assist with the following:
• The development, testing, and implementation of Teradata DataStage .
• Performance analysis and tuning of Teradata SQL in support of migration from Oracle to Teradata.
- Analyze new and existing workload using EXPLAIN, query log, timings.
- Monitor performance.
- Recommend use of statistics, indexes, partitioning, temp tables, other techniques.
- Rewrite SQL to improve performance.
Required skills:
1. Proven experience with DataStage Server Edition versions 8.1
2. Teradata load utilities: BTQ, Multiload, Fastload, BTEQ, TPump
3. Data warehouse concepts and techniques.
4. Teradata concepts and architecture.
5. Complex SQL queries.
6. Strong Data Analysis capability/experience. Experience with data mining concepts a plus.
Desired skills:
1. Understanding of source code control concepts.
2. Teradata certification.
3. Ability to understand complex business data integration.
4. Reporting: BI concepts, Business Objects. |
