Websphere MQ Broker Developer (Multiple Positions)

Long Term Contract

Bloomington, IL

 

Application Integration (EAI) Infrastructure Support team:

This team is responsible for providing 3rd level support/troubleshoorting for client supported "messaging" products. The key

"messaging" products include WebSphere MQ (WMQ), WebSphere Message Broker (WMB), and WebSphere Transformation

Extender (WTX). As a 3rd level production support analyst, this individual will provide defect resolution, problem determination/root

cause analysis for events related to the products. Analysts also participate in product maintenance and upgrade projects. Normal

hours are standard business hours with the expectation of rotating off-shift, remote support (pager/cell phone) availability.

Enterprise Application Integration – Designer/Developer Analyst

Overview of EAI Project Analyst Role: Ability to develop, implement and maintain messaging solutions through the use of client

software and tools. This includes designing message flows, MQ object creation, creation of message broker flows, and troubleshooting

for assigned projects. The analyst should have strong communication skills, ability to work with several teams, ability to work on

simultaneous efforts, and be able to work independently with a high level of initiative.

Desired Skills: The analyst will be able to provide projects with Enterprise Application Integration solutions using WebSphere MQ,

DataPower, WebSphere Transformation Extender

 

software and tools. This includes designing message flows, MQ object creation, creation of message broker flows, and troubleshooting

for assigned projects. The analyst should have strong communication skills, ability to work with several teams, ability to work on

simultaneous efforts, and be able to work independently with a high level of initiative.

additional value to EAI. In addition, any skills and experience in WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) will be of

interest and benefit to EAI.

• UNIX

• z/OS

• Windows

• Basic Networking Knowledge

• Linux

• Some basic scripting – shell, java, etc

Please impress on them that a single person with experience in all of these products is probably impossible to find. We need to find

people with experience for all of these products. It doesn’t have to be one single person, but any person with those skills could be a

candidate for this PAR
