Preferred or desirable experience:

·         Experience in Manager Self Service and Employee Self Service for complex HR applications

·         SAP HRMS platform () experience

·         Data modeling experience

·         Experience in HR systems or Portal systems

 

Knowledge & Experience:

·         5 to 6 years of industry experience within the specific domain/service area including:

·         Experience in large-scale product development and/or custom applications development, and systems integration

·         Exposure to wide range of applications involving different system development environments and technology platforms, with specific experience in the development of Web based applications

·         Experience in understanding business requirements and translating them into High-Level Design solutions

·         Experience in the design and development of customer-facing applications, platforms and portals would be a plus.

·         Experience in HRM, payroll or retirement software / systems.

·         Proven experience leading requirements meetings and documenting requirements.

·         This includes process analysis, creating business requirements documents, developing use cases, and partnering on user interface design

·         Ability to organize and structure project work with limited information and direction.

·         Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; articulate with a strong ability to influence others

·         Strong leadership, drive, and motivational skills

·         Ability to deliver results independently.

·         A track record of working with virtual teams.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Gather application requirements from client users and subject matter experts, and help prioritize required features to manage scope

·         Create Business Requirements Documents, review them and get approval from responsible parties

·         Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications as input to design and development, understanding technical details and impacts of detailed requirements

·         Support Customer Experience Engineer in the design of effective web based user interface

·         Provide support to the development team during the development phase of the project, reviewing requirements and assessing design and development alternatives

·         Provide support to the test team by creating high-level test scenarios, reviewing detailed test scripts, and analyzing problem reports

·         Assist in remedy of defects

·         Communicate regularly with management and project / CR leads to share status and escalate issues

·         Define integration requirements with external systems and identify the impacts of changes in those systems to Aon Hewitt Self Service applications, and vice versa

·         Write-up and provide oversight on IT requirements and other deliverable documents.

·         Accountable for application requirements, design and delivery

·         Attend team meetings, module meetings, Design type meetings and defect review meetings.

·         Ensure cross-impacted areas are identified and engaged. Ensure solution designs meet the agreed functional and non-functional requirements.

·         Resolve defects and user questions.

·         Act as functional subject matter expert for internal teams to solve systems operations issues, support performance initiatives and/or other strategic initiatives

·         Review requirements traceability through the project lifecycle to assess quality.

·         Transfer requirements knowledge to onshore and offshore design, development and testing teams.

·         Use domain knowledge and expertise to understand a business partner's processes, gaps, and challenges and convert that knowledge into requirements that meet business objectives.

·         Work with Project Managers to define a requirements project plan, identify potential project risks, create mitigation strategies, and participate in corrective actions as needed.

·         Work with the Development Manager to identify risks, analyze defects, and identify root cause on projects in order to take corrective actions and manage teams to high quality delivery.

·         Work with various other groups (user interface designers, system analysts, legal) to refine project requirements and determine development alternatives.
