Documents and automates routine tasks as part of a larger system plan, and can contribute to that system plan.

Performs tuning and monitoring of the performance and availability of individual systems as well as the overall application environment.
Improves existing technologies and processes; evaluates and deploys new tools and methods to add value to the existing systems, architecture, and methods. Shares responsibility with the team for development, documentation, and implementation of best practices.
Support the complex environment of a 24/7 customer-facing web application
Participation in an on-call rotation responding as a single point of contact to escalations from team members and system alerts. Assumes the responsibilities of problem manager during incidents.
