Support Manager Job Duties
 Min 12 + Years Resource with PMP Certification
  • Support managers supervise the maintenance and security of technical services and information within an organization, as well as ensuring adequate training and abilities of IT employees.
  • Coordinating IT projects
  • Implementing new software and technologies
  • Training subordinate and management staff
  • Providing guidance for problems and questions
  • Participating in business meetings
  • Managing and leading the project team.
  • Managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in project work.
  • Detailed project planning and control including:
• Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan.
• Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan.
• Recording and managing project issues and escalating where necessary.
• Resolving cross-functional issues at project level.
• Managing project scope and change control and escalating issues where necessary.
• Monitoring project progress and performance.
• Providing status reports to the project sponsor.
• Managing project training within the defined budget.
• Liaises with, and updates progress to, project board/senior management.
• Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities.
• Managing consultancy input within the defined budget.
• Final approval of the design specification.
• Working closely with users to ensure the project meets business needs.
  • Definition and management of the User Acceptance Testing programme.
  • Technical support for the application or software. They know the flow of the application and do deep dive into the issue and fix it if they can if not escalate further.
  •  Excellent people managerial skills and ability to implement frameworks and steps to streamline process
  • Ensure appropriate levels of up-time
  • Proactively recommend hardware for capacity, end-of-life, or improvements
  • Resolve hardware and software issues in a timely fashion
  • Regularly improving the quality of our monitoring
  • Ensure all monitors are functioning as expected
  • Primary Point of Contact for Production Issues
  • On-Call (or have found suitable coverage) for all production issues, hardware failures, customer impacting software bugs
  • Documentation / Knowledge Sharing
  • Keep all Ops related documentation up-to-date
  • Document current processes
  • Train current staff on changes and improvements to previous processes prior to disrupting operations
  • Reporting and dashboards for executive consumption
  • Frequent and regular communication of production issues to stakeholders
