Summary Description:This is an upgrade project. We use Portia, a 3rd party application which currently runs on Sybase, which is being upgraded to SQL 2008. For this, we need 2 individuals to help us with the batch processing. Large scale development or implementation project experience is required, along with strong analytical skills.
This is a 60/40 % role. 60% Analysis and 40% developer. They are NOT looking for just a coder. This person(s) do have know know and do SQL Stored procedures. BUT, they must have a BA mindset as they will be uncovering and thinking and talking to folks.
REQUIRED, MUST-HAVEs:
1. Must have batch processing experience.Windows batch preferable; Autosys desirable.
2. Must have SQL Server stored procedure development experience. SQL Server 2008 experience preferable, 2005 experience acceptable. SQL Server 2008 is highly desirable not too many people have SQl Server 2008, so SQL 2005 is fine.
VERY DESIREABLEs:
3. PORTIA experience very desirable. NOTE: Portia is a 3rd party app that they are using. It's not an issue if these people don't have PORTIA. PORTIA is hard to find. Basically the project involves moving Portia off of Sybase and onto SQL Server.
4. Large-scale integration project design, development and implementation work desirable, particularly with third-party applications.
NICE-TO-HAVE's:
5. .NET development experience desirable for long-term ?to hire? consideration.
6. Informatica experience nice to have.
7. Financial knowledge nice to have.
8. Critical thinking is a plus.
9. Production support experience is a plus. |
